EDU Mobile Fume Cupboard
The EDU mobile fume cupboard provides operator protection against hazardous chemicals.
This versatile, mobile unit is designed to meet the needs of practical science work in educational and industrial applications.
Air intake is at the front of the unit, the front aperture gives a face velocity of >0.5m/s and an
alarm will alert the operator if the airflow falls to an unacceptable level. An operational filter saturation alarm can be fitted for extra protection when the main filter is saturated.

The working area has a removable spillage tray for easy cleaning, integral lighting for full illumination, and a back up safety filter is fitted as standard. Electronics are housed in an isolated section of the unit away from any contamination.
The main filter block can be selected from a range of different filters, including speciality filters for vapours of acids, mercury and formaldehyde. An integral port on the unit allows manual filter monitoring to be carried out easily.
A filter clamping mechanism allows easy loading of the filter and ensures an even seal at the filter face at all times. A valuable safety feature is that the filter can be changed from the kneeling position with no contact using a special bag supplied with the new filter.
